She needs to do some goddamn drugs.

also have seen two street beatdowns.
I wake up in my bed at my house in Chamblee. It's around 2 o'clock, so naturally it's time for breakfast. Before I can even make it down the stairs to the kitchen I feel one of my teeth wiggling as it would have when I was younger. I look at my mother who is standing at the bottom of the stairs. I decide to see how far I can push the tooth. I press my tongue against it and push. It falls out. I spit it into my hand and look at it. It's got one of my fillings in it. I look at my mom. She looks confused, but quickly begins attending to other business in the kitchen. This apparent loss of equilibrium in my mouth causes four more of my teeth to loosen up. I raise my eyebrows and turn down the corners of my mouth. Some of them simply fall out, but others take a bit more work. I spit them into my hand and quickly shove them into my pocket. I call the dentist, but he sounds upset with me. It must be his day off. The words he says stop making sense. I hang up on him. I ask my mother what I should do. She is unfazed and tells me to do what the dentist said to do. Frustrated, I throw all my teeth on the ground. Immediately realizing my mistake I hurriedly begin picking them up again. I black out.

I wake up in my bed in my apartment. I run my tongue along the back of my teeth... they're all there. It's around 1 o'clock, so naturally it's time for breakfast.

from wikipedia:
Friends usually will engage in various forms of physical contact, at times spontaneous and other times of a ritualized nature. This is often used as an outward symbol of their friendship.

The form and context of the physical contact has varied historically, culturally, and developmentally. In the West, these manifestations, with the exception of the more formal ones, can be seen with greater frequency among young children, opposite sex friends, and among female friends. In the East they are more equally distributed.

Types

* Handshakes. This is a more formalized type of contact, frequent among older individuals and only denoting feelings of friendship if emphasized.
* Holding hands
* High five
* Hugging
o Two-armed hug
o Pound hug This embrace, primarily used by young males, has become popular among Western subgroups because it expresses affection while maintaining a remote posture, so as to preclude any homosexual connotations[1].
* Walking arm-in-arm
* Placing an arm over the other's shoulder or waist
* Kissing
* Eskimo kissing
* Imitation of fight (e.g. a punch on the shoulder, usually among males.)

Where's Respek Knuckles??

Even though nobody was bothering anyone and above that I wasn't even drunk at the time. But worse things could have happened I guess.

I sometimes start my day feeling down or intimidated by all the work I have to do... then I see someone get totally ripped on and I feel great.

love
mason

I was just about to go to sleep here at home when my uncle stopped me and we started talking about Georgia State. He went there too after he came back from Vietnam and he wanted to tell me about it. Then we started talking about my family history.

My great great grandfather Hannibal Turner had to leave Virginia in the mid-1800s because he killed a man over a property dispute. He joined the Union army after Jackson surrendered. Then he marched all over the South, marched through D.C. in the victory march, then marched to St. Louis to get his paycheck. He joined the army and marched for 3 months.

My grandfather Eugene Turner grew up as a tobacco farmer in South Carolina. He left his home at 19 with a 3rd grade education. He got a job in a store as a stockboy in North Carolina and then almost by accident began doing the display at the store. He learned how to paint letters from a professional sign maker and practiced it until he had it perfect. He then moved to downtown Atlanta between the end of the depression and the end of WWII. He worked at the Muse's department store (which is now lofts) near the Moe's downtown. He would make most of the display props that he used and now we have lots of them.

The Turner family moved back and forth between the Virginia settlement and England in the late 1600s. They were most likely smugglers. Possibly of tobacco.

The McConnells came from Scotland in the 1700s I think.

The DuBose family came straight outta France.

So did the Berrongs.

We have lots of family that fought in the civil and revolutionary wars.

I know so much more about it now.

So recently every time I've argued with someone who is a male I tell myself that I shouldn't take it seriously because we're both asserting our dominance in new territory.

Then I realize how ridiculous it is that I'm even thinking that.

The four month old pasta isn't on our counter anymore. I'm gonna clean tomorrow. All day.
love
mason
